Polyester yarn is one of the other products of the polyester plant in Polyacryl Iran Corporation, which is mainly produced and sold in the market as POY with 280/48F, 180/48F, and 560/96F detoxes. It is prepared and supplied according to the needs of the consumers and the market in terms of the diameter or linear density of the filament. After being textured, it is mainly used in warp-weft fabrics or for circle weaving. The advantages of producing this product are a shortened production process, increased production rate, and convenience of the process. Because of the suitable properties and the usage in various textiles, there has been significant global growth in the supply and demand of the product, especially in recent years.
The production capacity of different types of polyester yarn in Polyacryl Iran Corporation is 22,000 tons/year. With the implementation of polyester development projects, however, it has increased to 32,000 tons/year, which meets the needs of some parts of the spinning and weaving industries with various consumptions, including fabrics for curtains, knitwear, and texturing units. Polyester yarn is winded onto 10-kg and 15-kg bobbins and then packed in pallets and supplied to the consumer market.
